Philadelphia Flyers center Zack MacEwen underwent surgery this week to repair a broken jaw that was suffered during his fight with Minnesota Wild forward Marcus Foligno, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Olivia Reiner.
MacEwen will miss around five weeks of action.
MacEwen was claimed off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks in 2021 and has since established himself as a big part of the team’s identity, as the organization as they attempt to turn thigs around.
