The BC Lions have officially signed three Americans to their practice roster, such as running backs BJ Baylor and Vance McShane plus offensive lineman Jacky Chen, according to an official announcement issued on Tuesday (h/t CFL.ca).
Baylor spent time in training camp with the Green Bay Packers in 2022 before landing with the Atlanta Falcons, on their practice squad, for the remainder for the season. Baylor spent his college career playing at Oregon State where he collected 1,718 yards and 18 touchdowns on 308 total carries and hauling in 16 receptions for 105 yards.
McShane joins after initially singing with the team ahead of 2023 training camp.
McShane rushed 1,042 yards and eight touchdowns on 189 total carries while adding 11 receptions for 99 yards and a major across 20 games when transferring from Saint Xavier to Norther Iowa.
Chen spent the summer as part of the Minnesota Vikings training camp after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent back in May. Chen played college football at Pace University where he earned an invite to the East-West Shrine Bowl and earned NE10 First-Team All-Conference honors.
